As holiday vibe is in full swing, it is also time to remember the meaning of Christmas, which is the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. A Nativity set (or crèche) is a representation of Jesus’s birth.
This nativity scene is simply: Baby Jesus lying in a manger with Mother Mary and Joseph by his sides in a stable with the Star of Bethlehem shining above.
Learning from my mistakes from last project, I made sure that measurements are precise this time. I wanted Baby Jesus to stand out so I added white sanding sugar on the figure. With Mother Mary and Joseph, I kept them simple by flooding with royal icing and painting them in silver afterwards. I sprayed gold dust on Star of Bethlehem to represent it is shining in the sky.

Stable – 15cm x 12cm x 5cm
Baby Jesus in manger – 2cm x 2.5cm
Mother Mary – 4.5cm x 3cm

Gingerbread eggnog latte cookies, royal icing, coconut flakes (toasted)
